Wonderful Apulia

Wonderful Apulia

An intense, golden earth like oil and light.

8 days to discover a fascinating land of a thousand colors and beauty, visiting must-see places such as Vieste, Bari, Ostuni, Lecce, Salento and the Itria Valley.

Bright splendor. “Apulia petrosa” was called Apulia in ancient times, hostile stone transformed over the centuries into trulli and dry stone walls, but also in the reassuring bulk of the masserie and the Baroque friezes of churches and palaces. An ancient, multifaceted land, divided between countryside and sea, but with a common thread that distinguishes and warms it: its light. Almost magical light that gives life to the precious architectural facades, plays among the dry stone walls, creeps dazzlingly into the alleys of the historic centers, stretches among prickly pears and centuries-old olive trees and lights up the blue of the sea with reflections.

Beaches, castles and forests. In one week we will try to discover this sun-kissed land, its generous nature, its sparkling coastline, discovering caves, castles, cathedrals and ancient farms. We will explore the Gargano, Puglia’s only promontory, which offers breathtaking views, enchanting beaches and bays, nature and original villages. From Vieste we will explore the Umbra Forest, a Unesco heritage site, and then descend through Trani and Castel del Monte to Bari, the elegant capital rich in history.
